Tagging, commenting, etc. on archival content:



  • The Notman Photographic Archives, part of the McCord Museum at McGill University in Montreal, allows tagging of individual cataloged photographs. A free account is required in order to add tags.
  • The Keweenaw Digital Archive at the Michigan Technological University Archives provides the capability for user to comment on images.
  • MEDICA at the Waring Historical Library of the Medical University of South Carolina allows commenting on all items in the digital library.
  • Deutsche Kinemathek published "Moments in time 1989/1990", a site containing 7,000 private films and photos plus 100 accompanying written memories from the Fall of the Wall and German reunification. Most of material is licenced under Creative Commons and allows tags, comments etc.
Tagging, commenting, sharing outside of archival content:

  • The Centre for Archive and Information Studies (CAIS) at the University of Dundee in Scotland has started a Delicious account to collect and share links that are of interest to the students in the program. See explanation here.
