Tagging, commenting, etc. on archival content:

The Notman Photographic Archives, part of the McCord Museum at McGill University in Montreal, allows tagging of individual cataloged photographs. A free account is required in order to add tags.
The Keweenaw Digital Archive at the Michigan Technological University Archives provides the capability for user to comment on images.
MEDICA at the Waring Historical Library of the Medical University of South Carolina allows commenting on all items in the digital library.
Deutsche Kinemathek published "Moments in time 1989/1990", a site containing 7,000 private films and photos plus 100 accompanying written memories from the Fall of the Wall and German reunification. Most of material is licenced under Creative Commons and allows tags, comments etc.

Tagging, commenting, sharing outside of archival content:

The Centre for Archive and Information Studies (CAIS) at the University of Dundee in Scotland has started a Delicious account to collect and share links that are of interest to the students in the program. See explanation here.

Archival content blogs are usually sponsored by an archives or special collection as an outreach tool, but they are occasionally the efforts of private citizens. These blogs are transcriptions (with or without digitized images) of archival materials--usually diaries, letters, or other date-based information. Entries are usually synchronized with the date of the material they are sharing (in other words a diary entry may be posted on the same month and day as the original document as written). Although they are not usually intended to do so, these blogs can stimulate comments and discussion.

Two sites combine the North Carolina Postcard collection with Google Maps: Vanished North Carolina and Textile Mills.
Sappertonhistory.ca is a prototype website that is testing new technologies for developing online histories and web-based archival collections. The goal is to eventually develop a user-driven, online history and digital archive collection for the neighbourhood of Sapperton. (Sponsored in part by Peter Van Garderen)
The Polar Bear Expedition Digital Collections is an example of a "next generation" finding aid utilizing several types of 2.0 tools.
Lookbackmaps ("Lookbackmaps is a network of neighborhood historians, historical photo enthusiasts, historians, book publishers and others who collaborate to map history.Through the online digitization of high-resolution public photo collections and geotagging technology, Lookbackmaps creates collaborative, standardized views into the past.")
The New York Real Estate Brochures Collectionlinks data about the buildings described in the brochures to their location on Google maps (although it does not appear possible to browse all the buildings on a map).
Transcriptions of the 1862-1864 letters of William Taylor of the 100th Pennsylvania Regiment were arranged on a map using CommunityWalk.

Archives New Zealand Audio Visual Wiki allows users to add to and edit information about the archives' film collections.
Chinese-Canadians: Profiles from a Community, A wiki-based project developed by the Vancouver Public Library in partnership with Library and Archives Canada.
Coroner Case Files Wiki - sponsored by University of Pittsburgh's Archival Service Center, documents the processing of a specfic (and sometimes gruesme) goup of records.
DuBoisopedia -Wiki devoted to information about W.E. DuBois, sponsored by the Univeristy of Massachusetts-Amherst
The Drew University Wiki is maintained by the University Archives.
Hobart and William Smith College Archives - "an experimental wiki"
The Montana History Wiki - sponsored by Montana Historical Society Research (a very good example, in my opinion)
The Minnesota Historical Society sponsors the Placeography wiki: "Placeography is a wiki where you can share the history of and stories about a house, building, farmstead, public land, neighborhood or any place to which you have a personal connection."
The Refugee Archive collections at the University of East London set up a wiki to share information with faculty and students about the collections and how to access them--and they also have set up a blog.
The Special Collections Research Center at the College of William & Mary created the SCRC Wiki as a place for the campus community to go to for ready reference about the college's history and the information contained in the SCRC collections.
The SCRC Staff Wiki at the College of William and Mary holds guides and manuals for staff on accessioning and processing, Archon, using the wikis, and other operations topics. Note that the public cannot edit any of the pages and some of the pages cannot be viewed by the public.
Vancouver Digital Archives wiki documents the development of an OAIS-compliant digital archives for the City of Vancouver. Hosted by Artefactual Systems, Inc. as part of the Archivematica wiki. Viewable by the public.
YouMass, "a wiki designed to explore the people, history, and culture of the University of Massachusetts Amherst," is sponsored by the Special Collections and University Archives.
The National Archives(UK) created the "Your Archives" wiki for its online community of records users. (This one is the biggest and most extensive archives wiki I've seen. If you haven't looked at it, you should.)
